skyDSL2+ social tariff

Are you a recipient of the solidarity supplement for the elderly, social integration income, unemployment benefit, family allowance, social disability pension, special disability insurance, supplement to the social benefit for integration, social old-age pension, a household with an annual income of up to € 5808 plus 50% for each additional household member without income (max. 10 household members) or a university student who has joined a household in this situation and have moved from your community to study, then you can, in accordance with Decree No.66/2021, receive your skyDSL2+ connection at special conditions.

What does the social tariff offer?

The skyDSL2+ social tariff offers you an Internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 12 MBit/s download, as well as 2 MBit/s upload and a monthly inclusive data volume of 15 GB. With this plan, you can check e-mails, browse, read newspapers or news online, shop online, use online tools for education, job search or professional networking, as well as online banking, online services of public administration, social networks and instant message apps, as well as make online phone calls or video calls. A convenient notification service informs you by e-mail when you have reached both 80% and 100% of the inclusive data volume. So you always keep an eye on your consumption. Of course, you can optionally reorder additional data volume of 15 GB each. The same favorable conditions apply to this data volume as to your inclusive data volume. How much does the social tariff cost?

The skyDSL2+ social tariff has a monthly price of €6.15. The cost of the activation is € 24.90. Hardware can be purchased together with your skyDSL2+ social tariff once for 1.48 €. You can pay one-time amounts either in one sum or in 6, 12 or 24 monthly installments. If you decide to reorder an additional data volume of 15 GB with 12 MBit/s download and 2 MBit/s upload, this costs 6.15 € (All prices include VAT.).

How does the ordering of the social tariff work?

You are welcome to order the skyDSL2+ social tariff by phone via our information hotline. According to Decree No. 66/2021 and Administrative Decree No. 274-A/2021, this tariff is for consumers with low incomes or special social impairments. Therefore, the skyDSL2+ social tariff is only granted to customers who have been checked and confirmed by the competent authority (Anacom). A transfer of the following personal data to Anacom is necessary in order to be able to verify your eligibility at the Social Security Authority, as well as at the Tax and Customs Office: full name, tax number (NIF) and tax address of the contract holder. For university students, proof of enrolment at a university and the respective current residential address must also be available. If Anacom does not grant your social tariff automatically, you can request a check of your eligibility. This requires the submission of proof of low income or special social needs. Every household can only benefit from one social tariff at any time. An exception to this restriction are university students who belong to an eligible household and have moved to another community to study.
